4 albatrosses are recorded around Japan. Short-tailed, Black-footed and Laysan Albatrosses breeds in Japan, especially ‘Short-tailed’ is most endemic species. Wandering Albatross were recorded in Senkaku Islands, Okinawa Pref in 1970, but this record needs to be reconsidered.
